I'm a California Bay Area native living in an 80-year-old traditional farmhouse on an organic farm in rural Japan. My English immersion preschool, Sunny-Side Up! has a school garden and we cook simple, local lunches for the children every day. I am a Food Education Leader of Slow Food Japan and have been teaching home cooking in Japan since 1992. I also write freelance and Andrews McMeel will publish my book, Japanese Farm Food, in Fall 2012.
